Drawing on a study of white supremacist graffiti and the rise of the alt-right, this collaboration with Dr Gilbert Caluya (University of Melbourne) examines the rise of visual and viral forms of racism offline and online.
A study examining the range of global approaches, co-authored with two leading scholars in the field, Dr Sam Merrill (Umea University, Sweden) and Dr Susan Hansen (Middlesex University). Published by Routledge in late 2020.
Comparative research into the management of iconic street art sites internationally, from Stockwell, Southbank and Leake St in London to San Francisco’s Clarion Alley and the afterlife of New York’s 5 Pointz.
Only two kinds of people are interested in graffiti and data: geeks and cops. Extending the work of the Instafame book, this work looks at the continuing large-scale data visualisations of graffiti and street art in time and space and considers the politics of graffiti, street art and Big Data.
