This novel-in-progress tracks the global transmission of graffiti from New York City in the 1970s while also displacing its singular point of origin with dizzying excursions into graffiti’s alt-histories, from its links to kung fu and the KKK to the Russian Revolution and the elusive white whale. Four short sections of the novel have been published: The Grandmaster Protocol (2017), The Ballad of Utah and Ether (2018) and From Peterhof Station to Creschenzago (2019) and Migaloo Boogaloo (2019).
